What age groups do you cater for?
We offer classes for children from ages 6 months, to 17 years, and adult classes for 18+
What's best to wear to class?
We recommend that wearing anything that is comfortable to move around easily in; shorts, joggers/leggings and a t-shirt are usually perfect!
We ask for any long hair to be tied back, and jewellery to be removed or taped up. For Gymnastics, you will be barefoot for the lesson. And for Trampolining you will be given a pair of Springfit Trampolining grip socks!
We also reccomend bringing a drink, especially during the summer months. If you would like to purchase any of our club clothing, please visit {INSERT LINK}
What is the right age to start trampolining/gymnastics/parkour?
All ages are welcome! At Springfit, children can start Gymnastics from the age of 6 months, Trampolining from 2 years old and Parkour from 4 years old.
We also offer classes aimed at older children, as we know that starting a sport for the first time can be intimidating, especially if the majority of the class is younger. Please get in touch so we can find the best fit for you and your child!
Are classes suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! Our Foundation classes are tailored for those new to Gymnastics and Parkour while our All Abilities Trampolining sessions are suitable for any skill level. Our friendly instructors ensure that everyone feels comfortable while learning the basics.
Are Adults allowed to observe classes?
In Trampolining classes, parents are asked to stay to help with spotting around the trampolines. This is for safety and to allow our coaches to focus on delivering the best classes possible. This is not mandatory and we ask that any parents not spotting for their children remain outside of the halls. In Gymnastics and Parkour classes, adults are asked to drop their children off so we can maximise the space in the halls for various pieces of equipment.
We have Celebration Weeks every season where everyone is invited to come along and see what happens in our Gymnastics, Trampolining and Parkour classes.
You’ll get to see the skills your child has been working on, observe the fantastic progress they’ve made, and have the opportunity to chat with our Head Coaches to ask any questions about our sessions.
Since space is usually limited, we will be setting up a VIP seating area for this special week, giving you the best possible view of your child in action. To ensure all adults can attend, we kindly ask that you avoid bringing siblings or additional family members where possible, so that every child can bring one adult.
What if my child has previous experience?
We require all children to start in our Foundation level Gymnastics classes so the coaches can check they are able to perform certain skills safely and consistently before being invited up to the Intermediate class. It can be as soon as the next week, but it’s better for their confidence to do it this way rather than start in an Intermediate class (where children do tend to be a bit older) and have to be asked to move down to Foundation if some skills need practice.
What if my child can't attend their class?
If you have booked a taster session and your child can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can rearrange your taster.
Existing members, please click below for more information on how to notify us of your child’s absence at least 24 hours ahead of the class start time.
What if my child has additional needs?
We aim to accommodate all children wherever possible. Please contact us ahead of time so we can prepare the best experience for your child!
